About Group

Fresh out of college, with dreams in my esyes, and ambition in my heart, I stepped into the portals of Dare House.  The peacock welcomed me, as did the inspiring bust of Shri AMM Murugappa chettiar.  The goosebumps were generous, the legacy humbling.

I came to know that he was a farsighted businessman, who saw opportunities even during casual conversations.  That was how Ajaxx Products Limited came down.  Eventually, he went on to establish robust businesses with unshakeable ethics.

I also learnt that he was as noble as he was astute.  He furthered his father’s interest in philanthropy, along with his brothers.  Thus was born AMM Charities Trust, later called the AMM Foundations, the CSR arm of the Group.

I’m inspired by how the Group not just builds businesses, but also empowers communities.

As the Group observes Founder’s Day, I pause to pay tribute to this great man.  I’m truly awed at the conviction in his heart, the pursuit of excellence, and the fiery focus on growth ad success. Stellar values that time has indeed bowed down to.
